Yep, it's been a while. Life is, as usual, nuts. Work is full of tense times and short deadlines and, if not the proud man's contumely, then at least that of overrated minions of proud men. Which may be worse.
The Viking and I did get away for a few entirely heavenly days at the beach. In addition to the usual haunts in Ocean City, we took a day and went over to Assateague Island National Seashore (that's the Maryland side of the island). Some pictures on Flickr for the curious. The Viking is now in love with Assateague and wants to go back with better hiking shoes.
Back to the grindstone.
