Bloglife note: I have (at least for the moment) ditched the blogrolls because they were too much trouble for me to keep up to date. Instead, I'm using a feature of Google Reader that allows me to put a feed of items I share from my own reading list into the sidebar. Since I can mark items for the shared feed as I read them, this should (in theory) allow up-to-date linkage to content I find nifty without me having to update two things (reader and blogroll) when sites move, or blogs become inactive, or whatever.
If practice does not match the promise of the theory, I'll go back to the blogrolls. But I think the shared feed will be a better solution.
