You want historic textiles?

Here are some historic textiles:

Well, not textiles really, because they aren't woven/knit/knotted/sprang-ed/etc. It's more like finding prehistoric string. But they're spun and dyed, which is pretty damned cool. The site above links through to the publication in Science.
